Product Name:  Blue Meanie Mushroom Spore Kit (3 lbs.)

Instructions for growing Golden Teacher

Colonization: Temperature 72 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit

Step #1 – Open shipping box and remove white box with instructions. Don’t open the
clear plastic bag that comes inside the white box. You needn’t do anything at all with
the bag until colonization is complete. Colonization began at inoculation. So just
leave the bag in the box and get it to a dark cool place, where it will live for two
weeks. The temperature for this colonization phase should be 72 to 75 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Step #2 –
After the two-week period mentioned in Step #1, break up your block by
gently massaging the brick through the bag, mixing the grain with the substrate
without breaking or damaging the bag. Let sit for another 2 weeks in the dark until
the brick turns completely white.

Fruiting: Temperature 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit

Step #3 – Set the brick upright with the sealed side up (the side with the vent port)
and make sure the plastic is all the way unfurled. Then cut an angle in the corner of
the bag on the section of the bag where the bag had been sealed. Use a paper clip
or something to hold that corner open for air. This opening that was just cut into the
bag should expose about a 1”x1” area of the brick to air. Set the box where it will get
indirect sunlight, near a window or pane in a room with the temperature set between
65 – 70 degrees F.

Step #4 - Mist daily. Keep the temperature between 65- and 70 degrees F. Watch
your mushrooms grow. Approximately two weeks from the completion of colonization,
you will be harvesting your mushrooms

Step #5 – After harvest, gently remove the brick from the bag and set it in water that
covers it completely for two hours. Then replace it in the bag with the vented corner
up and set it by a window for indirect sunlight, repeating the remainder of the fruiting
steps for a second crop.
